I believe the relationship between chiropractic and medical massage is like that of two sides to the same coin. At one point it becomes a hen and egg problem. What was first? A tight muscle or a subluxated or misaligned joint?
What does a Chiropractor do?
Unfortunately there are too many chiropractors out there who give chiropractic a bad rep. If you ever had a horrendous adjustment, you will know what I am talking about.
In addition to that, a lot of chiropractors are so convinced that their work cures all that they do not, or only rarely, refer to other professions, where under medical massage. Instead they try to adjust joints that are solidly held together by rock hard muscles, which can be more traumatic than good or it takes a tremendous amount of time for the actual adjustment to take place and hold.
If you live anywhere in SoCal I only endorse one chiropractor, who has clients flying in from as far as other states, for whom it is worth traveling.
